Parents use liquid medical marijuana to calm autistic boy’s rage

Since the legalization of marijuana in a number of states and the plant’s growing use as a medicinal remedy, reports have been surfacing in the news of parents using medical marijuana to treat a number of ailments in their children.
The latest case in the news is that of 11-year-old Alex Echols. According to a report from ABC, Echols’ parents use liquid  medical marijuana about three times a week to calm the boy’s severe violent rages, in which he experiences severe seizures and  hits himself repeatedly. Doctors say these are brought on by a condition known as tuberous sclerosis.
